Description

Take your organization’s performance management approach to the next level and enhance the employee experience by effectively implementing 1:1 feedback meetings in your organization. Not “just another meeting,” 1:1 employee feedback sessions should facilitate and encourage an open exchange of information between employees and their managers. 

These meetings should not be manager-driven, but rather should be structured to provide employees with time to truly be heard by their boss, while also engaging in constructive two-way dialogue.

Implemented correctly, 1:1s can boost employee engagement and retention while also building a positive, healthy organizational culture defined by constructive and open communication.

Mary Gormandy White, M.A., SHRM-SCP, SPHR is managing partner of Inside Insights, Inc., where she provides training, speaking, consulting, and content creation services focused on building better workplaces. 

She holds two senior level HR certifications and is a Certified Practitioner for Everything DiSC and The Five Behaviors. She specializes in management, leadership, communication, team development, and HR training and consulting. 

Mary regularly teaches virtual HR certification exam prep classes and creates content for a number of leading HR brands and exam prep providers. Mary holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in Communication and is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences and association meetings.
